That looks like a pretty late Springtime run, Rick.;)

We got up to about 40 degrees today - our first day over the freezing mark in some time. Compared with the weather we've had for the last month or so it felt like it was more like 60 degrees!

A few Spring birds came out to stretch their legs and sing a few songs, but with -7 predicted as the low temp tomorrow night, that's just an all to brief tease of what's to come in another 4-6 weeks.
Yeah it was around May 7th... it's nice here too a lot of ice in the gutters though, i'm waiting for them to come crashing to the ground.. ;) This winter has to be one for the record books Phil. My snowblower is down and i've gone through two shovels so far.. The ducks in the pond are knocking at the door to be fed. :D

Catherine and I spent a couple of hours out on the waves yesterday. Went out on an ex-special forces 400hp inflatable 12 seater 'ocean rocket'. Thing able to hit 100kph in perfect conditions .. we got to 70. Must admit I've always been intimidated by wild seas , unforgiving as they are. Took us out to the other side of Breaksea (well named) Island. Southern Ocean was wild as it always is. It was a spectacular experience and something we'd defiantly do again. Get Catherine to post some pics tonight.
