I am using a Breakaway Cruise Control. I originally bought it for a Yamaha V-star, then moved it to my Rocket. It fit and worked perfectly with no modifications to the bike or control. They are a bit pricey, but come off automatically when you touch the front brake!

These look real good. How much?? Also I have heated grips , so does this effect fit??? Any comment welcome as I suffer severe hand numbness!!

If all you want is some form of throttle lock, just glue your bar end weight pieces together and fit a rubber washer between the handlebar and end weight. Dial in the friction you want. Works fine, been using it on my bike for ages.
If you want a true cruise control Audio Vox I believe makes one that can be installed.
There are also some hand stretches that can help with the numbness. I.E., hands palm to palm in front of your chest, raise your ellbows, etc.

I am a little hesitant to offer you the obvious! Why don't you check out the Breakaway web site for price and fit information????
The inside diameter of the control is larger than the grip. I can only assume that they made it large enough to fit just about any grip - heated or not. The control comes with several thicknesses of rubber "shims" that wrap around the grip before sliding the control over. You pick the correct thickness for your grip size. Once in place, there are set screws that tighten the control to the grip to prevent slippage. Pretty easy installation, and good documentation. Setting up the linkage so that your front brake lever kicks off the control is a little more time consuming as there are a number of choices as to which parts to use - they have made the kit "universal", so there are parts to fit a lot of different front brake lever arrangements. It is just basic mechanical stuff, not ROCKET science!

Maclid, I installed the Throttlemeisters on my Rocket with heated grips and they work perfectly...I'd prefer an electronic cruise control, but I think I'll save that until the warranty is up.
