Crossover box (possibly a resonator) removal

So a few more questions in this topic.

If I remove and replace the weird crossover box(possibly a resonator) that sits right after my TORS with a custom piece of exhaust pipe would that:

Change the loudness and tone?

Require an adjustment to the power tripp tune?

What is the purpose of the box since the cat isnt in there.?

What ill effects if any will i have if i remove it?

What positive effects will i have if i remove it

What year and model is you bike?
It's a resonator and expansion for the equalization between tail pipes.

I believe Tripps has a tune for cat/cross over delete and aftermarket pipes.
