I don't have a lot of matte black, thank God, but either way you have to wash whatever it is and then get the water off it fast. The best way is to buy an "air force blaster" that blowdries the bike efficiently. Some people use leaf blowers, just have to be careful it doesn't suck up grit and blast the bike as there are no filters on those. Optionally, I just noticed that there is a device you can buy for under $100 that filters your water and deionizes it; this process takes all the salts and minerals out so when you hose the bike down with it and the water dries, the water leaves no water spots! Sorely tempted to get it.
