Choices, choices; or new vs demo vs pre-owned Rocket III

All right! It's a 2012 with 6 months left on the factory warranty, 1495 miles, first service done. Comes with Triumph (aftermarket/upgrade) exhaust and dyno tune to match, handle bar risers (which is perfect since I want to put the T-bird Storm bars on it), Triumph oval/teardrop mirrors (can't remember which) mirrors, dress-up kits for various parts, and knee pads. It's a single seat so I'll have to buy a dual seat and backrest for the missus.

Total out the door: 13.9k USD.

I'm pulling the trigger

the Touring seats from the older Rocket Classic's will fit the roadster. Non of the R3T seats will. You need to figure out whether you want a back rest or not for yourself. 06 seats dwere not built to have one. 07 Classic and up had the bung plug in them for the drivers backrest.

@warp9.9 Thanks! Oddly enough, the dealership (the mechanics, not the salesguys) told me the Longhaul touring seat would fit the Roadster, but I declined as I wanted to do some research on seats before pulling the trigger. I want to make sure the old lady has as much comfort "ass" humanly possible, so I'll have to look around for a bit.

Picking her up tomorrow, can't wait!

do not believe the touring seats have the quick disconnect and they are bolted on.
This is the seat I was referring to





and here is the 06 model without the drivers backrest. The passenger backrest in the pictuer is the tall sissy bar with the classic pad. My wife prefered this set up to anything else I tried.
