Totally ripped out the rotator cuff and the bicep, tore out over half the labrum, tore every ligament. After surgery my surgeon said that he really enjoyed doing my shoulder, not the typical rotator cuffs he does every Thursday. He said mine was a real challenge, also it was the worst he'd seen.
Screwed it up November 26th. Surgery December 19th. Doc and physical therapist say 6 months to near full movement, 12 months for full strength. They say if I build muscle back too fast, I'll just tear it out again. On the bright side, my employer is working with me. Gave me an office job ordering tools and spending their money.
My physical therapist says I should have enough movement to ride again by April. I'm planning a trip home early April hoping for good enough weather in IL to ride at that time. If you're available maybe we could do that river run.
My bike has 28,500 miles. I'm going to change plugs and check valve clearance. Hoping valve clearance is good enough for one more season. Absolutely, positively sending the head and cams to Carpenter next winter.
