Carpener exhaust baffles/end caps

Sorry I did a search but can't find the answer.

I just orderd the Carpenter Brute Pipes for my R3. Are they too loud for local law enforcement without baffles?

I remember reading about end caps with baffles, but can't find the thread. Where could I get baffled end caps?

Check Luisiana db level. Some states db not limited. No doubt Carpenter race ready loud.

If you're getting the pipes from Carpenters, ask them to also supply the "Freedom" end cap. To muffle the exhaust ( a bit ) get some 2 1/2" perforated pipe, jam it up the megaphone, wrap it with sound-deadening material, and hold it all in with the end cap.

Warp will tell you that the empty megaphone will easily overpower the blast of Gabriel's trumpet.

When I asked about a baffle the guy said they didn't sell one. I guess I had to specifically ask for the end cap.

I adapted a freedom end cap and part of their baffel to mine Carpenter does not make one. It really depends on the cops in your area. If they put up with the Harley staight piipes most likely they will not say anything about the brute pipe. It is not awful load when just criusing just when you wack her hard. I decided not to mess with the cops and added mine but must admit I loved it without the baffle and would run it without it but I do not want to support the cops around here.

Scott, what size baffle are you running?

Rick, I've drooled over that video plenty times. It's really hard to tell how loud it actually is on the computer. It does have an awesome tone though.
