Cant get rear wheel back on

Not what I was thinking. Then again, each Captain controls his or her own ride. I feel like a light weight, telling how to use a jack to balance the wheel. He**, I'd need the floor jack to pick up the wheel!
On a note about welding the parts back together. The welder I'm sure understands warping of metal. He should have preheated all parts.

some times we have to lift the diff off the ground to see how well the trans shifts. when we do that we make sure it is 6 inches off the ground because the tire will grow (about 3 inches at about 80 mph) and start trying to grab the floor.
u might want to try this on a 2wd rear drive vehicle before the rocket.

Oh, OK, I sorta did this, but stayed in 1st gear, just to see if the wheel was seated right.

It wouldn't of mattered how well the swing arm was prepped , heated or welded . If it was done without first being solidly jigged , it won't be true !
I admire your vision , but keep an eye out for cracks and don't ride any faster than ploughing speed !

Thanks for all the input guys. So the tire I installed is a 255/70 off-road truck tire. I know, kinda MadMaxish. I got the idea from a dude on youtube (kopicraftwork) that did it, but with a smaller tire. I was thinking about chopping it this year already.
I used a bottle jack to expand the swingarm, did the trick. Without it I was scratching up the ABS and brake disk and messing up the seal and spacer, and after a week, I had had enough. I cant explain why it was so tight, but it was. The biggest lever I have wasnt working, only serving to scratch up my freshly painted wheel.

I cut back the swingarm and had it welded in 2 places to make room for this tire, but I doubt the welder compressed anything, why would he?
I dont like the license plate on the side look so I mounted it on top of the cut fender. I may have to raise it. It actually rides pretty nice, only have about 32 psi in it. The tire weighs 38lbs by itself.

The tire was rubbing the bar that goes across the frame under the seat, and I didnt want to spend $600+ on shocks so I got some 13.5" ones that were under $300, we'll see if they work. The license plate was rubbing this morning, thats why its raised up right now, hopefully that was the only thing rubbing. So now I will only take it out on nice days. I really like the front fender, but when I go bigger on the front, maybe it should match the back.
I will take a serious look at the weather in KY for the RAA event.

Warp 9.9 without a doubt is correct. Buy a swing arm. Just not logical to run at any speed at all. I can't imagine how the torque will affect a non tempered piece of mild steel. It seems like vibration alone would cause cracking and damage to the drive. I have a welding shop and still play with heat. The liability is off the scale. Kinda like welding a nice hitch to a rusty pickup. Weakest link....
