Can you quiet down the Jardines?

I am a newbie to the Rocket and I'm really liking the bike so far. The bike has a set of Jardine exhaust on it. I was wondering if there was a way to quiet them down some? Anybody!!

Trade your Jards with someone who has stock pipes.

Yea, That would be one way or has anybody removed the baffles and tried wraping them with fiberglass to tone them down and KEEP the 15 horses.

if they are really old the baffle packing may be wore out, mine were when I had them.

Jardine did make a quieter system later on.

you can order replacement baffles or packing I think, there is a how to on replacing them...how to guide here:

I've found that when I take the key out of my bike my Jars get awfully quiet. I'm not a very technical person, though. Maybe one of our more technically savvy Captains can explain it. :?:

I solved that same problem with a set of s-plugs......

now my Jardines sound a lot more like Stevie Wonder, and a lot less like a 110db drone on the highway

what are s-plugs,sounds a bit like butt plugs. :shock:
