Broke my clutch lever.

I was in a bar and returned to my bike to find it laying on it's side. Somebody had knocked it over accidentally or otherwise. Upon my inspection I found that my clutch lever was broke off half-way. Luckily she still fired up and I made it home. Has anybody replaced their clutch levers and what"s a good replacement? I figured I buy them in black. I see a few brands like powerstands but don't know which would be best. Any ideas? Thanks.
 
I know that if you go with anything shorter it will fatigue hand more so than the longer ones. I've see where on sport bikes that they leave the stock lever on because it is long but change the brake lever to "two finger" lever. I found out the hard way on my ZX-10R when I changed the clutch lever to a "shorty". Stop and go traffic was hard on my hand and wrist. This before I knew most everyone leaves the stock levers on which are longer for more pull in power.
 
I just replaced mine, too, when I dropped mine...at speed. Anyhow, I ended up buying the OEM lever, though I saw lots of aftermarket ones online/eBay. I would've liked to get something different, like an adjustable one, but I was pressed for time.

I paid about $55, I think. Let me know what you end up doing, as I may swap both levers out.

I recently replaced both my levers with ASV C5 unbreakable levers. They are pretty cool, come in flat black, and feel incredible. Motomummy had the best price that I could find but they are still kind of pricey. They warranty them for 5 years though and if you do break them they will replace them no questions asked, so they say.
 
i have a zrx1200-R kawasaki that i want to replace the front brake lever on, and i get into ebay and all i see is the china/hong kong crap. i'll make a trip to the dealer to get the right part because i refuse to bolt anything on any of my bikes that's cheap junk. i'm sure some of the stuff is okay, but if i can get the original parts i don't mind spending a few bucks more. if nothing else other than peace of mind that it's a good quality part.
 
I pasted this in this thread as I thought it would be usefull gee whiz knowledge when replacing your clutch lever.

Just wanted to impart some more "learn the hard way knowledge" to you guys as I think it could possibly apply here. I just got through with an enigma with the dealer because neither one of us could figure out why my fuel gauge and range indicator weren't working.

Anyway, after replacing multiple parts under warranty, including fuel sending unit and the entire instrument cluster, it turns out that the aftermarket clutch lever that I had installed about two months ago was not compressing the neutral saftey switch located inside the clutch lever aparatus. For some reason, if this switch is not engaged by the clutch lever the fuel gauge and range will not reset. You can tell really quick if this is your problem by turning your key on and putting your bike in neutral. If your able to start it without pulling in the clutch lever, the switch is not being compressed properly. You should have to pull the clutch lever in in order to start the bike. Just another useless safety mechanism that only serves to cause some serious head scrathin when trying to figure out wtf. This might not be your problem but food for thought huh?
