I think this US$1230 is for one disc and one caliper.

Correct, price per side of front axle. Bonnies etc run with just one.

You probably wouldn't get the stock front brakes from Triumph for that either though.

Well I was wrong on this one, about half the price for stock if Bike Bandits pricing is correct.

Beringer is good when dry. Dangerous in the wet because one has first to apply the brakes to wash the water film on the discs (not ventilated, plain cast iron) and only after go for the real braking. I was almost ****ting my pants while learning this real fast when going at about 100 mph and all of a sudden everything stopped ahead of me on the highway due to a massive multi collision.

Absolutely not happy with the way Beringer anodized color faded even if the bike was always garaged and very little time exposed to the sun/elements. Not happy with their after support, costed me a lot of time in communication, they made promises (German distributor) they never kept/honored.

I wouldn't buy again from them based on that.

I sold the Bentley a while back. It was requiring and vacuum hose replaced and was an engine out job. $6k job and I just was not using it that much. Time to go.

HEL and Brembo both make 4 pot callipers that will fit a Roadster.
I've been told by a triumph mechanic that you'll get more bang for your buck by upgrading the front master cyl to race quality, for what its worth he thought the stock callipers were ok.

Totally agree. The stock brakes are not that bad to justify the cost of that upgrade. Certainly not for average street riding.

The Roadster has the "upgraded" (bigger bore) master cylinder, if you can find one this does bring the hydraulic ratio correct.
When I fitted the six pot calipers to my Rocket this also improved the ratio as the over all piston area is less than the stock 4 pot units, this has the same effect as fitting the Roadster M/C
