last rode a pre unit construction Bonneville in 1964, now at aged 70 feel the urge to ride again. just bought a 2010 rocket 111 touring, so getting a refresher course am I mad or what

:) bloody long time between drinks ( or rides in this case) .. as they say. 70 years old .. glad you didn't leave the decision to throw your leg back over a Triumph too much longer .. welcome back. PS don't still have the pre-unit tucked away have you :sneaky:
 
Welcome DVD from a never stopped riding 66 year old Aussie ,20 when you gave up riding, ,Gee it must have made a lasting impression on you to come back after 50 years, just be careful I have seen a few born again riders come to grief , it will all come back like riding a giant pushbike :cautious:
 
Welcome to the fold, you'll have fun. Just keep in mind that the thing has a ton of mass so take it easy when going slow. At normal riding speed the bike is well balanced and a doddle to ride.
