Bleeding Brakes

abs bleed never works with Tune Ecu OR DEALER TOOL . CO . UK , BOTH companies/developer said to me in writing that it will never work and wont be supported.

I've had a professional vacuum brake bleeder that hooks up to my compressor to bleed brakes on all of my bikes for years. Can I do the same with the Rocket3 and vacuum out the old fluid at the calipers?
manual bleed trumps every other method IMO.

I did the reverse brake bleed starting left front caliper. It was challenging with the angle of the bleed nipple pointed inward. And messy, having brake fluid squirt out at times. Lever was still good when done. I tried it again on the right side and wasn't pleased with the progress so went with my Mity Vac pro bleeder with good exchange. I found the lever went soft so I opened the master cylinder bleed screw and fixed the lever to like new pressure. The rear bleed procedure was easy and exchanged fluid several times. The result : very good brake feel front and rear, surprised at how much improvement actually. BTW tested fluid before bleed and showed high moisture content . Definitely a regular two year maintenance item.

An old post I know. Just doing my fronts, and no matter what procedure I follow, the brakes do not feel really firm. I've tried reverse, top to bottom, repeatedly slightly pumping the lever. Also, tap along the hose. The only thing I've not used is one of these fancy bleed kits. Don't suggest I should buy one, please. I'm not going to spend over £100 on something that might not work. Oh, I installed a new master cylinder kit. Gen 1 Rocket, btw.

If you have a bleed nipple on the reservoir perch, you need to bleed that as well. My sons-in-law's Speed Triple had the same problem until I bled that perch nipple and then they were solid as a rock.

When you release the lever on the bar do so slooooowly. It will prevent air induction. Also try letting the system sit for a day to allow any air to migrate to the highest point. When you fill the reservoir air is mixed into the fluid as micro bubbles.

I've left the lever pulled in tonight. But I tried this before which made no difference. I'll go back to it on Friday; I've had enough. I got the annual road safety checks on Monday. As it is, it will fail.
