Big Blue Bike Lift - Anyone tried it?

Thanks for all the input guys, so I'll likely need a new drill too....I do like the idea of it though, it would mean I can give my bike a deep clean very easily and removing the wheels would be so much easier (assuming I can lift the bloody things when off!)

I have one that I use for my trike and I love it. No more crouching, kneeling or bending for me thanks. You do need a fairly powerful drill though.

Mark, I'm not far from you, I live in Botesdale. If you'd like to see it in action you welcome to pop by.

That would be great, thanks, I'll PM you when I know when I am free to sort something out

By trike would you mean something like a Can-am? Or more traditional 2 wheels at the back type...the reason I ask is my dad has a Spyder and is the one that pointed me in the direction of this lift and would most definitely want to see one in action too :)

Mark, Mine is the more traditional two wheels at the back type trike. But if you'd like to bring your dad along too your more than welcome. The makers of the lift are really helpful and will go out of there way to find a solution to fit any vehicle as I found out myself. Just gis a shout when you wanna come see.

I've got one, - your only real consideration is if you want to spend the money. I also have one of those wheel chock stands. So it's park the bike in the stand and that allows you to manoeuvre the lift under the bike. On the roadster u have to tie back the riders peg to get it under. Never had a problem with the drill. I lower it back into the wheel chock stand- making sue it's located properly there. All a very easy one man operation. Been great, just take the wheels in for tyre changes, made a paint job easy as. Looks unnerving with the bike that far in the air, but it's not going anywhere!

I've got one..special adapters came with it at extra cost just for the Rocket..and it will not work with an electric drill, let alone a battery operated one..maybe a 1/2" drill, but I don't have one..I use a ratchet..and it's a pita to set up..I wanna sell mine because I'm moving..

Boy..do I agree! The thing is a PIA to set up and the cross members cover the oil drain bolts! I also have to remove a floorboard on my Classic to get it close enough to the bike and they are a PIA to put back on with its spring loaded setup. And yes, you need a 1/2" corded drill to lift the bike which strains to lift it...forget a battery operated one. Using a ratchet will take you a half hour to lift the bike! Pins have to be set into the frame holes on both sides in the frame of the bike requiring wrenching and maneuvering. The lift is also very heavy and hard to move around. A REAL PIA!
Beautifully made lift (strong as hell) and the bike is solid as a rock when lifted but it is something I'm sorry I bought along with the needed front wheel chock to hold the bike totally vertical before putting the lift under it ($185).
Actually, the wheel chock (very well made as well) is all I use to change oil. Total cost was about $950 and am very disappointed in this lift for use on my R3 Classic.
The customer service is wonderful but they didn't count on the Classic R3 despite the fact that I made it very clear that was what I needed. I was sent a new cross member made to deal with the Classic but it does not.
It is gathering dust as we speak.
I sold my Pitbull lift when I sold my Boss Hoss and am very sorry I did so.
