Glad you're Ok! Man I hate those things, I'm allergic too. I got lucky a few months ago when wearing my open face helmet one hit me in the forehead and then bounced down to the tank and rolled onto the seat right between my legs where I swatted him off the bike. Never stung me but could have got me in a couple of places I wouldn't have really appreciated.

I was doing a ride in TN with the Rune Riders when I had my Rune and coming back from NC into TN I got stung by a yellow jacket, I did not have my epi pen with me so I called 911, they informed me of the nearest emergency care/hospital and that they were sending an ambulance, I told them that I am heading towards them and that they should look for a bike next to the road since I only have 15-20 minutes before I have a major malfunction...

The hospital was about thirty miles away, someone on the ride's wife had benadril tablets so I took some and headed out. About 15 miles later I started loosing sight and could not breath so I pulled over, as soon as I stopped a state trooper was on my ass, he was trying to catch me for the last 10 miles or so, he started in on me and I sat down and passed out. I guess the ambulance showed up right after that and they explained to him what happened, I woke up a couple of hours later and feeling better I got up and walked out, they where giving me sh1t about staying over night and that I needed someone to sign me out. I asked them if I signed in? I gave them my insurance card and when they where done with the paperwork I walked out to my surprise the state trooper was waiting for me...

$850.00 ER
$680.00 Ambulance
$175.00 Speeding ticket
$225.00 Wreck-less driving ticket

Getting a ride from a farm boy to my bike and actually finding my bike still next to the road, priceless.

I got off lucky....No charge in Canada for the medical treatment/hospital stay or the medicine. It was an eye opener realizing how fast a health emergency can hit.
