Battery Minder quality

Yes, the Corbin seat has a bracket that bolts across the frame rails directly above the battery posts. The PC625 is too tall to clear the bracket. The nice thing is the seat now has an easy, key release. The bad thing is I'm back to the Yuasa battery.

I wonder if I got a bad one or if it wasn't fully charged when I got it. My PC625 didn't seem to crank as powerfully as the Yuasa did when it was fully charged. Then it wouldn't turn it over at all yesterday so I went back to the Yuasa. I was surprised by the lack of power with the Odyssey after everyone raved about it. I guess we'll see how it goes after I get it recharged and reinstalled.

The Odyssey charger has a test function that will tell you exactly how much of a charge your 625 has before you begin the charging cycle. It will be interesting to see what state its in. I'm assuming you didn't charge it before installation. It may have been sitting for a long time before it was shipped to you.

I charged my PC625 with a battery tender, got a green steady light overnight, rode the bike to work, and after work the battery failed. I jumped it from a car battery (not recommended, but what was I to do), now it is fine. After the info on this thread, I think it needs a good jolt to get it going.
The info with new battery said no need to charge, but don't believe everything you read. Out of the box it would not crank.
With the proper charger, your problems will disolve, or so it seems.
Upgrading my charger to the Odyssey too.
Using the battery tender for the stock battery and the lawn tractor.

I believe it was sitting for a while. I picked it up at Battery Warehouse and the guy there didn't seem to think they had sold one of these for a while. He was asking me what kind of bike I was using it for. It probably need an initial charge. I'm glad I bought the Odyssey charger now. :)

Having had a dead battery a week and 1/2 ago in the work parking lot and having these battery issues, I didn't ride in to work this morning. It was supposed to be a high of 36 and I normally would have but I didn't want to be stranded again. Have you ever tried one of those portable jumping things (don't know what they are called but they are re-chargable and self-contained.) I'm thinking of carrying one in my saddle bag for winter riding or maybe I'm just getting paranoid as I await delivery of my Charger(s)!

For myself, I am not worried now, with the Odyssey charger on order, and really look at that as backup. Plug it in on cold overnights (below zero) or long sittings. I would ride to work if we had no snow on the roads, and have complete confidence in the PC625.
That jolt from a car battery (like 10 seconds, with the car not runing) made all of the difference. The proper charger will solve your problems.
This really is a super battery, for us cold weather die-hards.
Just didn't find out about the proper charger until yesterday.
Skip may not need it where he is at, but we do.

We were lucky with the rain over the weekend. The snow is history (for now anyway), so I'd like to ride this week if possible. I was debating and drove in. Of course as I was passing the college in town, a motorcycle pulled out behind me. I was kicking myself all the way to work for not riding!

We had another inch last night, on top of the 5 or 6 still laying around.
I live right between two of the most popular ski resorts in the area (The WISP at Deep Creek MD, and Seven Springs PA).
Temps bounced over freezing a little over the holidays, not near enough to be gone with the snow.
Calling for just a littel snow every day this week. Just enough to ruin my biking life.
Woe is me.
My kids call from northern Florida complaining about the cold weather, in the mid 50's.
They don't mean to be cruel.

Been to 7 Springs Many times in the Fall for Annual Meeting of Company I was recently with usually around October 1st. It wasn't unusual to have snow for the annual golf tournament. Deep Creek Lake is a great area! I went there 10 years ago and vowed to go back, but haven't.
