Ballistic batteries

I've heard they don't like the cold, I might put one in one of my summer bikes, but I ride the Rocket all winter, I'm not sold on them yet.

Thanks I will ask a guy who is into batteries about them next week I am in no rush to drop 350$ on a batterie that wont work in the cold

OEM battery or its HD replacement coupled to a BatteryTender by it's included pigtail connector from the battery post run discretely down the left side to poke out behind the top, front of the chrome shaft cover works like a charm! Whenever my girl is in the barn I simply plug her in to the Tender and my battery is always fresh.

The cold shouldn't be an issue:

Regular battery + BatteryTender

Save your money for better things, 'cause

You have a point there, Will, however, for most (read as "normal" people) my solution works quite well. I had the same cold start issues for two years until I started to keep my Mulberry Mistress on the 'Tender.:Tip-Hat:

Phil, I am assuming that "normal" is "majority" or are you insinuating something else? For the record; I have always kept my Rocket on a battery tender; year round, since it was new... and have went through the OEM battery and now have been taxing the Scorpion AGM replacement.

Nothing wrong with wiring up another battery in parrell though. More is better regarding this specific motorcycle application.

My org batterie was a good one it lasted 4 years and I probly could have used it one more . the first 2 years I had the bike It never had a tender on it would sit for months wen I would be out fishing This bat has had a tender on it from new and even then wen cold it wont do it . hook up my truck batterie and its no problem
