Back on a bike again soon...from Illawarra, NSW Australia

This guy has never ridden a cruiser style bike before (he is into the supermoto bikes) and his mate lets him ride his Rocket...
check it out:
Pretty well sums up what happens the first time you ride a Rocket... It just makes you grin like a lovesick teenager after his first F...
And this guy didn't even get right on the gas, if you test ride one and decide to Snap the throttle open beware it will leap forward and try to tear you of it back so only snap open in a straight line! And above all else Hang On

Well @MickyB and I went on a road trip last Satdee (in a car) to view 3 Rockets for sale at various dealerships in Newcastle, Hornsby and St.Peters. The first 2 we saw were absolute crackers. I wont speak on behalf of MickyB but I secured an 07 classic with touring windscreen, panniers, back rest and luggage rack, engine bars, Triumph clock and Fuel gauges, 7800kms, 9mths rego and in immaculate condition. Picking the bike up on Satdee and will enjoy a 2hr trip home first up. Here she is. Cant wait. Saw a few Rocket X's along the way. Very nice too but out of my price range.

congrats mate. nice looking machine.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. Some good advice and I have shifted my focus to the RIII classic/roadster. Do not want a tourer.
My focus is on 2008 or later models with obvious accessories (comfy seat, back rest, upgraded pipes, screen) if possible.
May consider interstate purchase but obviously costs will blow out.
$14k budget...thoughts?
Im only Guessing here but what ever you get is going to have a goodly amount of klms on it for sub 14k , especially seeing as you want it with a bag full of accesories
