Any one changed these yet, either due to preference or wear?
I have over 4.5k miles on mine and I think it will need replacement in the next 1k miles. I usually get 8k miles out of sport-touring tyres like roadsmarts so I was wondering if 5k is good or bad from these Avons.

I personally don't care for them, replaced mine after 500 miles, too much balancing weight in my opinion, I went with Metzeler Marathon 888's

Can't tell you yet. I just put the chromes on my X. What I can tell you is that the Metz. never got me more than 4000 miles.for the rear.

I only have 3.500 ks on my Avons and they still look good
However I used Metz on my previous bikes and I like them way better
So my next change will be 888.
I did get around 10.000ks last few sets

i'm at over 7000km on mine and it is down about half, unfortunatly i picked up a nail and had to order a new tire so ican't tell you how log it was last yet, but i have noticed some little crack or slices on the tread side have been coming up

Hey Golly, I'm a newby here in the R3 world but I'd be happy to get 6K miles on any of my other sleds. Nice to learn we have choices when it comes to replacement time: One thing that kept me from a Diavel when it was first introduced was the absence of choices. I had one for a day and the big rear kept shoving the front, overwhelming it when aggressively getting on the flop. Nasty.

Checked the thread depth and it's got 6mm on the rear and 3mm on the front, so not the way I thought it was. Mileage is almost 4,800 now.
