Australia Day .. Qld Style


That was Crows bike on the tv .. cops have stated they intend to apply to have it and Ants bikes crushed. The stupidity of these laws are no-one actually knows who is declared or who isn't. What you said Bruce may be right .. but no-one is actually 100% sure. Government have stated there is no 'legally binding' way for anyone to leave a club or dis-associate and be out of danger. Truth is the broad brush approach of this legislation leaves potentially thousands of Queenslanders at risk of falling into the 'deemed associate' class. Anyone who is a workmate , childhood friend , brother , father ,sisters , partner or even been for a ride with a club .. anything at all to do with a 1%er is potentially at risk .. it's actually a near bottomless pit when you think about it.
 
The usual old ever popular law and order agenda that newly elected Governments seem to take , taken to the extremes. Great way to divert from the real issues impacting society. All well and good claiming 'bikies' supply drugs to young people , which we all know in some cases is true. No-one wants to ask or answer the hard question .. why do a significant percentage of our youth choose to spend from knock off on Friday until Sunday drugged and drunk . Without demand there would be no profit in supply. Violence in our communities is only partially to blame on substance misuse .. as much to blame is the sense of hopelessness and doubt in a secure future that so many young people express. Bare existence wage structures , overpriced accommodation , home ownership unachievable and uncertainty of ongoing employment are all reason youth give for not really giving a f#ck. Always good to have a bogey man to divert attention from what's really frightening
 
Well said TC it is all smoke and mirrors and unfortunately the masses have become so desensitized that they are buying into it. Easy for a pickpocketing on a confused and crowded street, no one is seeing it. If they do most don't have the nerve to take a stand and do whats right. Hopefully someday things will turn around, sad thing is at my age I don't think I will ever live to see it. Frightening for future generations to say the least!
 
Sounds like the "haves and have nots." When in society has it not existed?
When the inbalance becomes intolerable their is always change...

I worry about the USA. Not continuing in direction started or intended in many respects, but not all. Like I read, USA worst Goverment in the world...except for all the rest.

Get out and vote, vote, vote.
