The world record for heavyweight cruisers, set at Bonneville last year by Jason DiSalvo, was not set on a car tire. All of the go fast guys have tried CTs out and found them to be inferior to OEM or purpose-built motorcycle racing tires, both on the salt and at the drag strip as well as on any street or road.

YEP we tried some special compound road racing CAR TIRES At Bonneville and they proved to be worthless and the bike ran 15 mph slower BUT hey we gave em a try as we test most of the tires available in the search for more traction on that slippery salt

I'm pretty convinced that darksiders might think they are going fast around turns, but really their "fast" pace is a more moderate pace for guys MT tires who can ride.

Ran my Rocket with the Avon Cobra on the Salt Flats in late June on the way home from RAA IX. It handled just fine on the salt, even at 145 MPH. Acceleration had to be somewhat easy and steady. Just a little snap of the throttle would spin the back tire. Kind of liked doing rear wheel spins at 75, 100 and 125 MPH. Never did that on the street.

Anyone know what the stock land speed record is for a rocket 3 on the flats?

I know Carpenter did 17X MPH on a modified engine, just wondering what an unrestricted stock Roadster would do.

I put on an AZARO in the front it is a 140 aspect ratio vs 150 for the cobra the difference in handling turns and curves are quite phenomenal the azaro was mentioned by BARBAGRIS sometimes ago and he thought the world for it I concur this is a revelation
azaro being a rear tire so it is mounted in reverse on the front. I am sold bridgestone exedra max on the rear and azaro on the front best combo I have found so far.
