and so it begins.....

just for anybody that is or has just fitted a PCV +AT here is a little info to a question you might be asking yourself --- as long as the the software is showing Afr reading and the "Auto tune running" green light comes on when you have 2% or more throttle (onthe PCVsoftware screen) all is good take it for a ride after about 100mile connect up and in "map tools" select "auto tune tables" and acept trims this will put values in the "Primary Module" fuel tables allowing the Auto Tune to trim faster.

another question...
In TuneEcu, I loaded a new map this morning I did the key off - key on - key off and then did the reset adaption...

I get an acknowledgement that it is done.

I just noticed there is nothing in the box next to TPS. If I hold my mouse over this box there is flashing message my old eyes have trouble keeping up with but it looks to say something like... closed throttle position reference not adapted,

would that indicated that the TPS adaption did not go even though it said it did when I did the procedure...

Had not paid attention to this in the past...

Thanks for any insight..

it wont hurt to go thru the reset again, did it make a noise in the Throttle body area, I will go out a connect up mine and check if you get same message again, let me know

Hans,
Yes I could hear it. I have done it a couple of times since then, and each time I get the confirmation that it was done. There are no errors showing up.

Well on a side note:
I could not wait any longer. Put on my winter undies and a heavy leather and took her for a romp around the block...

The first observation is YEEEEEHAA!
I left the driveway and carefully rolled on the throttle, shifted to 2nd and rolled on fairly heavy and left a good 30 feet or so of my tire melted to the road.... 3rd gear and again the back tire breaks loose.... This is surely not the same bike I was so disappointed in when I bought it, but it is......This is going to be so bad... :D
this first ride also made me realize just how loud those jardines are ... OMG!
How many of you guys running these things have gotten tickets for loud exhaust?

I may have to find a baffle to quiet these down a notch or 2.

The bike just seems to coast at 60 mph, not sure it wants to go slower then that any more...

Big Big Grin thank you to everyone for the help, the tunes and maps and encouragement...

if you run the TuneECU and then add a PCV + AT you will not need to go to a dyno and if you want I have a AFR table I have made, I copied from the AFR tables used by Wayne Tripp in his tunes, it gives a good balance of power and economy. The Auto Tune will follow these and give you the equilivent of a dyno tune that with your jardines and triple K&N's...... it will be a new beast so hang the f##k on. The AFR tables that come with the PCV and from thier download page are very average so send me a PM and it's yours:cool:

Oh and I just left the overflow bottle in it's original place it will not get in the way and the airbox is more usefull for storage

You never sent those tables to me mate
waiting ...............waiting :p

Opps Sorry Mate ... with the Skippy tring to take me out and a very tiring scedule with all the drinking and all I had to put up with I completely forgot sorry Boss hey have you got the Auto Tune then cos these AFR tables won't be anygood to you with out it and you can continue using the Tors tune as your Base TuneECU :)

when the (with the ignition on) TuneECU software connect to the ECM and you have the green light in the righthand bottom corner you should have green in the TPS box, but remember this will only come on after the software in the laptop via the cable has connected succsessfully to the bikes ECM

What did I say about hanging on now you just need a Darkside to get grip..just kidding .... you just have to let the tyre warm up before getting heavy handed or you will chew a few tyres

Thats why 1 reason I did not go for the Jar's (to loud for my taste)the other being wanting to keep the 3 pipes

Which tune did you end up using as your base.. just curious. Yes I also found that staying below 60 mph (100Km/h)is harder I went for a stroll up the road yesterday (no Rain) and found myself coming out of S shape set of bends 20km/h faster than usal at 150km because the power was coming on so strong yet Smooth
Geeeeez I love my Set Up ......Now I just have to save up for the pistons, cams and headjob mmmmmm.... it makes me horny just thinking about it
