An R3T On the Dragon

I like to push it hard sometimes as much as the next guy, but I'm fairly conservative with my wife on the back, and she appreciates it.
 
when he or she crossed the centre line on the first curve that should have been your que to back away off, nothing but a typical Sunday driver at the best but al least they did not pass anyone on a double yellow.
 
I wrote it a while back and the darkside did fine and I managed to get the blue light warning

I stopped watching after 6 minutes. I did not see him cross the line but he did get close

When I rode it last July (8 times or more) it was mid week, very little traffic, never saw a copper and I greased it best I could. What a rush - what a road!
In my opinion The Tail of the Dragon is the most challenging street I have ridden and it lived up to everything I had heard about over all the years pervious to riding it.
Fortunately I live far, far away or I'd surely get into trouble there and embarrass myself.
After my recent crash (first one since 1987) I have felt my age EVERY day and do NOT want to go through this again - I think I have learned my lesson not to pretend to be 25 years younger and grow up.

Agreed!
Now bump that 16 up 50 years & that where I be.
nothing like a smashed repaired leg and ankle to sink in EXACTLY how old one is

it seemed to me like mabey his passenger was not the best passenger..

mabey she was trying to help him corner?

i know that can ruin an otherwise fun ride

Not sure if it was too much about the passenger or nerves. To me it seems that the fella has no throttle control and doesn't look where he wants to go, no looking through one corner to the next. If you listen closely he is still adjusting his speed while he's in the corner, not before. By the time he hits the apex he pushes the bike through. Just a thought.
 

interestingly I do the same for cornering as you do plus use rear brake if I need to change the line i touch pegs only 40% of the time
