Amazing R3 on Ebay!

r3

I've searched and searched and can't find the R3 on Yeebay. I might be interested in it.

All I hear is the fear in some of you fair weather riders oh 50000 miles that is toooooo much miles, that is low miles for the year of the bike hats off to the guy for riding the bike, guys who only put a few thousand miles a year on a bike have no respect for the bike what so ever plus they are usually ****y riders.

That's not the point. The point is why, as a buyer, would I buy a bike that has 50K miles on the clock for $12,500 when I could buy one that has less than 10K on the clock for the same money. The used market is full of low mileage bikes because most people don't ride as much as some of us. Why would I, John Q. Consumer, not take advantage of that?

Here's a prime example, and I'll go out on a limb and say this bike will not sell either. Again, it's priced too high for the current market.

Rocket D has it right

...why buy a bike with SSSOOOOOOO many miles when others can be had for substantially less dinero and considerably less than half the mileage. The ONLY incentive then is the blower...which may not be too healthy either!

As for slamming other riders for being cautious of well-used machinery perhaps it is you who needs to reconsider. That being said, many bikers, unfortunately, tend to be impetuous and shortsighted...such tendencies have been known to bite those so afflicted painfully in the arse on frequent occasions:rolleyes:

If you are scared to ride your bike do not blame others, if you have a bike ride it if not sell it any idiot can work that one out.
Would I buy that R3 on ebay hell no but not because of the miles but because it is tooooo expensive, you never get your money back from after market stuff.

I work...now there's a novel concept!

Not ever enough time to ride. Besides my R3 I have a super custom VTX C which occupies much of my available free time...what with "farkles", airbrushing and the like. I also raise, show and breed Bully dogs which are a great passion of mine. Additionally, I RV with mama as often as possible too. Got my Pace Arrow out of storage yesterday in fact. My means are limited so I work like Hell, at several gigs, to keep up with the toys, hobbies and the necessities.

I like variety...and reliablity. I'm currently considering lower priced used Boss Hoss models in good repair and the penultimate, totally awesome, street rod; the mighty V-Max! I ride when I can alot the time. The Ebay offering is rather tempting, but the aftermarket "upgrades" always degrade the value of a "thing", be it a bike, a classic car, some collectable, etc. Stock is always best at resale...along WITH low miles if applicable. I really only want a supercharger at a discount price; a rare commodity!;)

Both of my current bikes, the R3 and the VTX, will eventually be going to my two sons. They are earning them via excellent grades and by other means. I love both scoots and I love my great sons FAR more...so they both get a kick-assed bike down the road. After bike safety coursework:rolleyes:. That will leave daddy without two wheeled grins...until I decide on the next hot rod:cool:
