Some of you might laugh or do whatever they usually do with those kind of questions… but it did not let me sleep last night...

What happened?

Yesterday I made my first ride to an old friend with my new TFC (less then 200 km on the ODO) - and he started my thinking with a simple question: what will I do with all the stickers on the bike?

To be honest: I planned to eliminate all of them next weekend - but he states that he normally leaves them all in place based on "originality"-reasons.

So: how do you do it?

Ciao - Peter

PS: I normally kill them all... but that also made me throw away the sticker on my XJR that informes about the right ryre pressure… o_O

Good morning, in all seriousness, I have two views to consider. First, as you mention about originality, if you plan to show the bike in the future where such things add point towards a trophy, you must keep them on. The bike must remain stock and pure. If you also bought the bike to hopefully make money on it in the future (or at least keep high resale value), then again, keep the stickers.

For the other thought, if the above are not within your scope, remove the stickers carefully and ride the living heck out of the bike. After all, one does not stop having sex with their wife so that she is fresh for the next guy.

Peel them and chuck them.

I see these as another form of litigation protection. Oh, you put oil in the gas or gas in the oil, we have stickers for that... duh

When I bought my Roadster, it was new/used with only 800 miles. The previous owner left all the stickers and they were the first things to go.
