Airhawk seat cushion

I'm good for about 300 miles without it, if the ride will be longer I will put it on. My passenger won't go without it. It really saved us both on the ride back from Florida. Like a couple of others have posted, it only takes a little air to spread out the weight so it's not on the tailbone and other pressure points.

I'm still riding the stock Touring seat. It has to be one of the most comfortable stock seats made. I just did 3300 miles in 4 days on it and of course I got tired of being on the seat just because of the time, but I rode dark to dark with minimal discomfort. I took a gel pad cover just in case but kept it in the saddlebag the whole ride. Maybe I just got a good one.

I forgot to pack mine for the trip to Montrose and ended up regretting it. I used one last year for the ride to Maggie Valley and loved it. Once you figure out the sweet spot for air volume it actually makes the stock seat bearable for longer rides.

My mate Matty just crossed Australia on his 1200 Explorer .. started off with Airhawk fully inflated and by the time he got here he'd reduced the air as has been suggested .. less air more comfort it would seem. Heading home through Darwin so he'll have circumnavigated Australia when he gets home.

Do you think that the medium will work on the long haul seat on my Touring?

the large one suits the Standard Touring seat perfectly like it was made for it ,a word of caution remove it when you park unattended the simple straps that hold them on are too easy to undo or cut and steal ,we have had a couple stolen in our riding group ,just too tempting for some of the lowlifes around,
