For the last 5 or 6 weeks the ABS warning light has been coming on and staying on sometimes. It doe's the right thing when you turn the ignition on and start the bike it comes on and stays on until you ride about 50 meters. then sometimes after 5, 20,50 or mabey 100k it will come on I tried the brakes when the light is on and the ABS is not working. I left it at Team Moto Springwood for a week when the problem first started they said laptop showed up 7 faults in 7 different places and that couldn't be right so they checked a few plugs and they couldn't get the light to come on.Irode the bike home and the light didn't come on. Next time I rode it the light came on and did so about 8 out of every 10 times I ride it.I pulled the ABS fuses gave them a wipe with a rag and put them back wriggled a few plugs. then set off last sat morning for Bundaburge 400k ride 200 in pouring rain no drama I was starting to think Ihad fixed it. Headed home sunday morning still raining light came on after about 110k stayed on till turned bike off at next fuel stop. Light came back on after 15k and stayed on .Took it to Team Moto Springwood yesterday 30k ride light didn,t come on so I had nothing to show them left the bike there and told them to fix it the hand book says if the light comes on do not ride take straight to a service centre. They might even track down my tank and sidecover badges that I have been waiting for since I crashed it 5 months ago. Have any other Roadster owners had this ABS problem?

No one had this problem?
Yours is the first that ive heard of Bruce
Maybe you could take it down to triumph at lawrence drive nerang their mechanic seems fairly switched on . And ive found them to be cheaper and more helpful than the springwood dealership . Being a warantee issue it doesnt matter which dealer you go too it will be coverd

Still under warranty so cost isn't an issue it's just the hassle of taking the bike over to springwood and getting a lift home. Leaving it there for a week or more and getting it back with the same ongoing problem. Last time I picked it up Stewy said he didn't know they maby, probably, probably not, might have, maby not have fixed it because they wriggled some wires a bit. That took 4 days last time with no phone call to let me know that nothing was happening. They have had it since wednesday this time with no phone call. Maby they wriggled some wires again and are waiting for it to fix itself or me to phone them. Team Moto Springwoods after sales service is crap.

Haha yeah that's basically what I was getting at Bruce . My bike is never going back to springwood too many bad experiences with them. I reckon triumph at nerange would sort it for you mate . Bit further to travel but worth it .

Maybe see if a brake specialist can offer any guidance so you can at least tell the dealer where to start looking.

Mate I've had the same problem!!!!

Turned out to be the onset of ignition switch dramas, had the triumph warranty job to correct problem.

I have had Hanso make up a full rely kit, haven't put it in yet just waiting to see if ignition switch ****s itself before out of warranty, 7 months to go.

Marty can you tell me what dealer found the cause of your problem and a phone number so I can talk to them and then tell Springwood what to do. You think the dealers could talk to each other and sort this kind of **** out without us pilots having to do it.

Bruce the dealer is Sunstate Motorcycles they are in Hervey Bay & Maroochydore.

Stewy from Team Moto Sprinngwood rang me on friday said come and pick your bike up. They had it for 9 days and can't fix it. The computer said it has a fault in the rear sensor but they won't replace it untill they get the light to come on while they have the bike. I rang Cris at Triumph on tuesday he wasn't it in so I spke to Cliff he rang them straight away. He rang me back first time anyone from Triumph ever rang me back.Second time was Stewy on Friday. Cliff said he told them to wriggle some wires.I told him I had already done that. Looks like thats the limit of Triumph's knowledge on motor cycle electrics. Anyway picked the bike up yesterday in the 9 days they had it they rode it 49 klm plugged a computer into it and wriggled some wires. The mecanic said if it doe's it again bring it back. I told him It will be back because they haven't done anything. Light didn't light up on the 30 klm ride home but I'm expecting it to today when I go for a ride. The side cover badge turned up after 5 months but still no tank badge. Its a good thing this bike puts a grin on my face when Iride it because I'm getting sick of their service department.
