A Manly (and inexpensive) Horn Upgrade

I got my horns today, i tried to find a place to install them other than the radiator and couldnt find any place at all!
I checked the radiator holes and seem pretty solid, i already have the auxilary lights there and havn't had any problema at all in over a year,,,, i'm tempted,,,,,

I ended up being unwilling to chance it. I figure the extra $22 for the pair of chrome bar clamps (on eBay) was worth it to avoid any potential problems that might arise over time with them mounted below the radiator. It should also make for a more solid and stable mount.

I just got my 1-1/4" bar clamps in the mail and will be re-installing the Magnums tomorrow.

Mex, I like those aux lights! What kind are they?

Judge, they are pep boys lights, they come with a bulit in harness ane relay, all for around $50.oo,

As far as the horns, i don't have the bars to mount them on, i can find a place but they won't be at the same place left and right, i will figure something out

Well, after looking and looking i couldn't find a place for the horns, i checked the radiator and drilled some holes to the bottom of the chrome radiator cover, bolted the horns there and it seems solid, will see:D
Now, if i just knew how to connect them, it would complete the project, i will get some ideas at RAA this weekend:)

I looked at pep boy web could not see those round light do you have a number !

do us a favor give us the number !!

everyone has installed the stebel but I found it a bit bulky I went with FIAMM twin trumpets the air pump is sold with 4 feet of hoses and the trumpets can be mounted in many places I personally screwed them on the underside of the rad facing each other so no water goes inside and left the pump where the original horn was when I installed the air dam I had to shave the edge of each trumpet but the sound is still the same
just to let other know there is some other great horns beside stebel ....

I will go to pepboys and get the number of the lights, as far as the horns, i kinda like them, i have heard the air horn and i like the electric version better, all i got to do now is get a relay to connect them and i will be set, i will let you know how they work:)

thanks ... that is all that matters....if they do the job enjoy the electric horns.

Just a thought and I know why you did it..:(..

whilst breaking the sound barrier ???

Facing them 45 degs down may be a better idea young Sir
