Thanks speedy, I was just about to add that, but you got in first. Good to see you live up to your name. :)

"I have had the same tyre for about 3,500 mile now and, IMHO, it is the best tyre I have had in every way. Those tyres include the OEM Metz, Avons, Shinkos, and Dunlop 404. It still looks new, even after those miles. I currently have the Riken on the other end."

I run the Avon Azaros on both ends of my Thunderbird and love them. Had a Michelin Commander before on the R3 but it didn't last more than 4,500 miles. So I tried the Azaro 140/80R17 rear tire on my R3 front as well, with another new Excedra Max rear. I am impressed. The Rocket runs true, steers dead neutral and stops impressively with it. Time will tell on the mileage. Thumbs up!
I also ordered the AZARO delivered $178 canadian

I have put 15,000 miles on the Michelin Commander 130/90/16 tire and it looks like it has another 5 to 10,000 left. The bike has been greatly improved with this tire, for me it handles much better than that the 150/80/16 tire. I usally get about 8,000 out of front tire and am blown away by the longevity of this tire. I bought a replacement for the tire when I went on a 6,000 mile trip thinking it would wear out before I got back home. The replacement Michelin has been sitting in the garage for over 7 months now and it looks like it will be there for another 7-10 months.

NOW thats some crazy miles outa that tire

I drive pretty hard, I like to get up to the 120mph mark once and a while to blow out the bike (about the limit for my Touing on level ground), I regularly hit 90-110, just for fun. I am amazed at how well the Michelin Commander is holding up, I have had a replacement patiently standing by in my garage waiting for it's predecesor to kill over, but looks like it may be a long wait.

I bought my rear tire a Pirelli Cinturato 205/60/16 about the same time as the Michelin and it is ready to be replaced. The Pirelli was suppose to be a 80,000 mile tire (I am going to get about 18,000). The Pirelli is a little two bouncy for me so I will be looking for a stiffer replacement for it.

I am open to any recomendations of a good car tire for the Rocket touring. I had great results with a Michelin Hydroedge I had on a 1800 VTX but the Hydroedge is no longer made. I think I need a tire with stronger side support than the Pirrelli provides.
