3 to 1 exhaust alternative question

Yes I understand this. I agree that 3to1 makes more sense if it is feasable
Feasible?

There was a member on here selling a simple slip on for very reasonable price. Went straight onto the header pipe. I realise this is more cost than what you propose but I think for $300(???) it’s a far better outcome - removes cat, better flow and saves more weight. Someone might recall who it was.

I saw a cheap slip on pipe advertised on ebay .co.uk. that was being marketed specifically at the Rocket. It wasn't pretty and the construction looked somewhat shabby. If it's a cheap fix you're after, I'll see if it is still advertised. Once fitted, you will need to get the bike dynoed/retuned. There are a vast array of aftermarket slip on mufflers available but you may need to get a link pipe made as mentioned earlier. @BigNorm has adapted one of these and may be able to point you in the right direction. At the end of the day, whatever you put on the bike will be a huge weight saving!!

For cost and weight savings you could get a good muffler shop to fab you up something. Completely uncorked bikes in my opinion are just to loud for me to ride. Ears are pretty beat up from years of explosions and running heavy Equipment. I wear double ear protection for most loud activities now cause its physically painful not too. If it was my bike, I would leave the stock alone until I could put the aftermarket system of my choice on. Your not gonna gain much performance wise, loose a bit of weight, and be loud as %$=&

I appreciate that there are cheap solutions out there. Normally I have to spend a couple grand on my harleys just to get them out of their own way. Hence my shift to Triumph..In my original post I was simply looking for an alternative to the crossover pipe conundrum. Of course the obvious solution is to grab a high flow muffler for this application. Or to step it up and go bttw full on exhaust system. Been there dropped the coin done that. I'm actually interested if anyone has done a simple single side bypass and what the results were? If not I guess it was a stupid question after all lol... Its looking like eventually I'll have to get a full exhaust as usual.

Kicker, it all depends on what you are after be it aesthetically or for pure power. Single or double sided slip on mufflers are available utilising the original header or you can go for a replacement manifold plus either single or double muffler. The cross over pipe is a must which ever style you choose. Release the Beast and let her breathe !!

Point taken. Aesthetically I like the look of the stock muffler just fine everything fits nicely. Of course if theres a benefit to only having one I like it better and would jump on some easy extra ponies.( K&N ru-5111 already ordered)I just bought the bike a week ago and was hoping to just ride it a while before really digging in as eventually I always do. As I said it's only a matter of time before going bttw.
