Thinking about pocking one up as a third bike. The Daytona I long ago decided I am keeping forever, its my first bike, the one I learned to ride on, eventually Ill do a full frame up refresh and put it on museum status.

The rocket I love, but I have a sportbike itch I need to scratch, and the Daytona doesnt have the balls for it these days, only about 125hp.

2013 Tuonos have all the electronic gizmos, traction control, wheelie control, launch control, abs, etc. 155whp/77lbft, 480ish pounds wet, really pissed off v4 sound, and hooligan capabilities second to none.

Anyone have any significant saddle time on one of the V4 Aprillias with all the electronic toys? Anything worth reporting?

HAVE ridden with a couple they are nicely made but it seems the biggest problems are the dealers or lack of

Yeah, not an unfamiliar situation for many triumph owners.

Currently considering the Tuono V4R, a B-King, or a V-Max Gen 2.

All are up for under 9000, low mileage and dealer maintained.

Thinking I need to take a morning and go riDE them all to best pick the Roadsters new stable mate.

There you go, test them all before you buy. As for the BKING, they are getting hard to find around here it seems and as much as I hate to say, they beat my beloved VMAX in the 1/4 mile.
The 2ng gen VMAX is a lot of fun to ride slow or fast and is great in the twisties compared to the 1st gen. I think it is more comfortable than the FJR is or long rides. However, long rides equate to about 100 miles between gas stops on the VMAX as it is next to impossible to keep your wrist from full twist and its darn tank is too small.
I have no insight on your Italian though other than the one guy who rides one to bikes and breakfast loves his and his sounds great even at idle.

I don't have a V4 Tuono but would love one , I do have a older 04 Tuono that is the cats meow ,awesome bikes . As I do all my own work not really concerned about the lack of dealers , AF1 in texas always has the parts I need , are great to work with and prices are reasonable too !!!
