Yes that's a good idea. Mind you I couldn't get the 'compare maps' feature to work. However I trust the guys on here when they say that the only difference between the map in our bikes Ricochet, and the later Triumph maps is in the 2nd throttle settings. When you look at that table for map 20685 all the cells for the first 3 gears are green and say 100%. When you look at our standard map they are all different colours depending on the rev range you are looking at and the numbers in the cells range from about 30% to 75%. I just edited each one to be 100% and they all turned green just like the later map. I saved this edited standard map as 20352-1 and then downloaded it into the bike.
The reason I didn't change the top speed limitation is because I can demonstrate to anyone who asks (triumph or perhaps an insurance assessor :-( ) that my bike now contains exactly the same map as the most recent Roadsters
If you haven't yet done the test I suggested with your bike as it is now, go out and do it. Only then will you realise how brilliant the bike is with the latest map in it. That test is in effect to do a roll on high throttle acceleration in 3rd gear then do the same in 4th. It should be much worse in 4th (at first) because it should bog down more, but it isn't. The poke in 4th is much better than in 3rd. the most recent map corrects this and you get all that 4th gear poke in second and 3rd gear too. It's how the bike should have been and Triumph know it.
