2012 Roadster Final Drive on 2006 Rocket III

In order to get the more robust driveshaft splines for my 200 HP 2006 RIII, I purchased a very nice used final drive and drive shaft from a 2012/13 Roadster. The FD part number is T1275000. The parts list mentions 87 Degrees. Has anyone put a roadster FD and drive shaft on a 2004 to 2009 RIII ? Are there any issues that need to be overcome ?

That should be just what you need
no problems as long as it is good.
no end play and should turn free.

A guy on YT did it I think. I'm sure he's on here

Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking there could be a difference. What ! I know ! An idea just hit me. Thanks Guys. I'll look up the swing arms to see if 2006 and 2012/13 us the same part number.

Alright ! Looks like both 2006 and 2013 use the same swing arm. T2053071.

I wish the FD on the rocket was like a car differential, and you could put "411s" in it. It would be nice to have a "creepier" first gear for traffic. And I wouldn't ride over 120 pretty much ever. On the other hand, my GS 1200, going cross country I wished it had a 7th gear. ..the chain drive bikes you can change, like my KTMs, are always good the way they are.
