Well i bought this rocket three at 22kmiles back in July and the guy before had a power comander 5 and autotune on the bike he also removed the secondary throttle plates. It has the ToR exhaust. Well the first problem it ran into was sputtering and backfiring badly on the highway randomly. I read on here that the PC5 most likely needed a firmware update. This did eliminate that issue for a long time. Well i have used the auto tune and used different maps with no issues. I did flash the ecu a couple times with different tunes as well over the past 3 months and haven't had any engine performance issues. Well about 4 days ago i was losing spark or fuel on the highway at a constant rpm and sometimes during acceleration. the engine would miss a beat for like a quarter second make the whole bike drag. I thought maybe the PC5 was still screwing the ride up. so 2 days ago i removed the PC5 and the autotune oxy sensor. I installed the stock sensor and plugged it back in the stock connector. the first day it had no issues during about 5 miles then last night while riding the bike it got back to sputtering lightly and then became more constant. Let me remind i still have the ECU Flashed to a more appropriate tune for the accessories k&n stock box airfilter and tor exhaust. I haven't looked at the ecu information yet but i will tonight. I wondering if the stock oxysensor is trimming AFR on the flashed ecu mapping or could this be a completely diff issue. I hear about ignition problems but the **** thing is a 2011 still a baby. Any input on the issue would be greatly appreciated because im not worried about making it a hotrod or anything i just want a dependability now.

It sound slike the stock O2 sensor is trimming you custom mapping at idle-cruise. Go into the AFR table and set this region to 13.2 or richer (0-20% TPS). Then reset adaptives and run a "12 minute tune-up". OR just turn the stock O2 sensor off.

I have a feeling you are right. Ill go into the ecu and check the trims and clear them. I am using one of your ecu tunes i got from the tunecu site =).

Well I flashed my ECU and removed the adaptations and did the 12 min tune till the tps light came on. I take the bike out today and still have the same issue. Losing power and stuttering intermittently. Im not really sure where to go from here with it. **** thing is only a 2011....

Probably the primary TPS is not set correctly. Set it, then if the problem goes away and stays away it is fixed. If the problem goes away but comes back later then you may need a new TPS.

Ive been reading some other posts about this issue with some other bikes. It seems the CPS sensor that the PC5 connects to is prone to shorting and getting dirty. Probably why the bike ran like **** with the PC5 on and when i disconnected it it ran fine for a couple days then started ****ting out again. Im going to clean the connectors tonight and grease them and see if this helps.

I had a similar thing with my 09 classic and it tyrned out to be a flakey coil. Took some finding tho.

Well i cleaned my cps sensor and it rode fine for about 5 mins then intermittent studdering again. I think it most like has something to do with that sensor im just not ready to toss a 110$ out to replace and not have the issue fixed. Is there any way to test that thing with out removing it? Or should I just give my up my diy attitude and take this thing to the triumph dealer?

Try replacing the fuel filter and get your injectors ultra sonically cleaned, I had similar symptoms recently I after checking every bloody other possibility found that my fuel filter was overdue and allowed some fine dust like stuff to go thru to throne tots and partially block them

Yeah that will be next. When i look at the tps sensor the 0% throttle position is at the correct voltage but when i open it wide open with the bike not running it only reaches 92% or 90%. Im reading this information of the ecu software. Is this normal on these bikes or could this sensor be whack?
