New High Idle fix and maybe more
High idle can be caused by metal shavings from the starter motor and ring gear sticking to the crank angle sensor magnet and causing advance of the spark. This will cause high idle and other problems that was thought to be the TPS. It needs to be cleaned every 3 months and is easy to do, just remove the sensor wipe it clean and replace. Its located at the back underside of the engine near the starter motor.

I hate to say it still sounds related to the Primary throttle position sensor, but that's exactly what it sounds like... still. I had the same symptoms and had the TPS replaced at about 35,000 miles. I'm at 43,000 miles now and have not had the problem reoccur. The exhaust isn't the culprit. I was running TORs/cat bypass and now I'm running Jardines.

I do know that the Primary TPS and the Secondary TPS are exactly the same, except for wire length. A couple of people have had success swapping them out I believe, but you have to have TuneBoy software to calibrate the TPS correctly, or have your dealer do it.

They are not the same. There is a spring in the sensor. One returns the center clockwise and the other counterclockwise. Try disconnecting and dielectric greasing all accessible connectors. Lube WD-40 the stepper motor under the rubber protector as well as all linkages on the throttle body assembly. Set your TPS and stepper motor and reset adaptations. 12 min tune and balance throttle bodies. Replace the vacuum lines from the MAP and seat the new ones with a little dielectric clear grease to assure a good vacuum.

Maaaan, if that don't do it, you need a magic wand to shake under the tank. I have had the problem on my 07 Classic on and off for three years. The last TPS replacement and adjustment seems to have fixed the malady.
