2005 ignition switch removal

Well, the two fasteners that hold the switch to the bracket look like some kind of rivet. There are four normal torx screws that hold the bracket to the bottom of the top triple tree. I just took those out and replaced the bracket and all. 😀
That's because they are security break off bolts.
Lesson two a prick punch is sharper usually used to locate a position. Then a center punch is used to have a more permanent mark. (Once you are sure the price punch location is correct)
Anyway Fred think how do I remove a broken bolt. I just need to unscrew it if the threads aren't damaged.

I know this is a old post, I have a bit of an issue, the dickhead that owned this bike before me had knocked it over with the steering lock engaged and it snapped the cast ignition housing and bent the mounts for the ignition... I'd like to find a new ignition my question is most ignitions just come with the switch and 3 keys if they are new, will any rocket 3 key open the gas and seat release or will I need to use 2 different keys if I go with just replacing the ignition only ...? Or is it possible to just gut my cylinder from the old cast and swap it with the new one?
