1st Gear not engaging fully

huh i have a 08 r3 classic never had any problems finding first nutral was a pain in the ass for the first couple thousand miles now it a lot better !!

..I never sit at a light with the bike in neutral..always in 1st, with a sharp eye on the mirrors..if it's hard on the clutch, so be it..if ya ever get hit in the ass at a light, you'll do the same..

What I've found that works on mine is to pull in the clutch at the same time you click it into first, that way the gears are still moving. It takes a couple tries to get it right but once you do that problem goes away.

I do the same thing that Rocket Scientist does. Leave the clutch engaged until your ready to shift to 1st from neutral. Pull it in and shift immediately and you'll always hear the clunk. When you don't hear it, 1st isn't fully engaged.
