just ask my grandfather who fought in ww2. the ****ers fought on both sides and lost both times. all they wanted to do was drink coffee and wine, eat fresh food and root. i reckon if they had a rocket back then they'd have made riding there 4th priority.

(no disrespect to anyone. my pop always spoke about how they switched sides and we always revved him up over it.)

If everyone we engaged militarily boycotted us, our balance of trade would be even worse than it is now. Well, maybe its as bad as it is because they still hold a grudge too, who knows.
 
I have a friend at work who drives Harleys and loves my Triumph but will not touch a "Jap bike" because of the same reasons. That's just fine and that's his own decision. He makes a point to show his disgust with foreign cars and such. What I don't understand about him though is that he makes such a fuss about his convictions, but works for a Swedish company that uses primarily German machinery. I always ask him how he's enjoying that Harley that he bought with his German paycheck, just to rattle his cage a bit because he certainly has no problem going all Archie Bunker on me about my Nissan work car. I don't care what you drive. There are multitudes of vehicles out there from all over the world. Enjoy them. Drive what you like. We are all different people and have different reasons for what we do. No sense kicking someone because they are different. It's a whole different story when you ask their opinion though!
 
Is anyone aware our rockets have a lot of honda items on them.

1. Evap canister says Honda right on it
2. Front brake calipers are the same as Honda
3. Triple trees swope with Honda

Front brakes are made by Nissin Rear brakes are made by Brembo
Honda may buy there components from the same bike manufacturers like many other makes do but it doesnt mean they are made by Honda . think u will find same will apply to triple tree.
Radiator on a Rocket is made by KTM just like most vehicles components are sourced from companys who specialize in those components. I doubt u would find many if any vehicels on the planet which are 100% made by one company.
 
to add to that the leather good on my bike come from Mexico and the Seats come from Italy the list goes on as Mitch said there are not that many parts made by the OEM they source them from specialists
 

Mate i respect your view.. i have been attending ANZAC Day dawn services for 25 years,long before they were popular. Remember the reverence all the other diggers showed to the POW's attending .. in recognition of what they went through i always assumed. My daughter argues with me about my views. I answer her with the fact that fundamentally im not that different to my old man and his fellow ex-servicemen , bit cruisier lifestyle but basically same values and outlooks. How come we haven't changed all that much but we're expected to believe the whole Japanesse nation have had a complete personality change.. Bit hard to believe if you ask me mate ... Lest we Forget
 
I spent a couple of years in Japan, but I'm sure nothing I could say would change your mind. There are some in Hiroshima and Nagasaki that do not look too kindly on Americans to this day, but by and large old prejudices and hatreds seem to have faded.

My wife is a sansei and her family is as loyal to this country as any I have known. This despite having been interred in camps during the war while their children served in our Armed Forces.

We can agree to disagree on this one.
