12 volt socket

Hi folks,
Took out the 12volt supplied socket and just pushed some wire / terminal blades thru a grommet / into the connector to provide a 12v "switched" supply.
Easy to do...
I ran it to my dashcam. I installed a separate 12v / USB accessory hub at the tank bag for convenience. Switched and fused of course.

Is that socket threaded in or pressed in like a sleeve? The wires come out with it?

its a large nut that was easy to back off / remove. Just pushed in, nothing special. You can see the nut and length in the picture. The wires were not quite long enough to come all the way out but it was no problem getting the new terminals pushed in.

Got it. I think that's were I'll tie in the TomTom dock lead.
