I don't know if the standard throttle bodies would work with the Touring. The stepper motors and other sensors may not plug into the wiring harness. MAP and TPS sensors may be different, injectors may be different and if I remember correctly my dealer said the throttle bodies for the standard Rocket are $1800, injectors are $150 a piece, so you'd be into it $2 to $3K before it's all said and done unless you could find salvage parts. Then you have the whole issue of figuring out fueling and ignition maps.

GPMAZ someone has to take one for the team, order up the parts, take some pics of the swap to post and let us know if it works or not.:D

You mean there is other colors than Black and Chrome??;)

Black and chrome is definitely my favorite, but my local dealer doesnt have that in and wont be getting it any time soon. He's offered a classic at the same price of the R3.
Is that a pretty decent deal? I do like the classic, little more comfortable, and I will regularly be riding to work, about 40 miles one way. Just not too sure about the 2 tone...never had that scheme before...seems a little "grandpa ish" if you know what I mean, lol. No offense to anyone who has a two tone! They look great!

I almost bought a classic because I like all the goodies that went with it . . . I ended up putting them on anyway. But I wanted the Black bike with Blacked out engine so I didnt buy the classic. The do (or at least did . .) make one that is kind of a cream color and black. I liked that one. All in all the comfort of the bigger seat, backrest, floorboards, and windshield are great.

Boogerdave, I believe it is the R3 Tourer you are referring to. It had a lot of goodies as you mentioned but had the silver (gray, grey?) engine, I had to have the black engine as well, which is why I cancelled that one and opted for the classic. I like my Classic in two tone, nothing old about it unless it would have come in white sidewalls...then I'd have had to put on different tires.
