What do you think about the riding modes? Do you find them useful?

On the Rocket I find them of limited utility. I basically alternate between Sport for nearly everything and Rain for snow, ice, and rain.

On the Tiger, where ride modes also include a wide range of suspension damping, and offroad is a serious consideration, they're much more useful.
Since I do know how to use a clutch, I've never understood the necessity for any mode other thana Sport!

The only time on any bike I don't use the sport mode is if the throttle gets too twitchy, and the only bike I have had like that was my S1000XR. Everything else gets sport mode because I find road mode can be a little too sluggish in throttle response.

Sport mode unless its activly raining then I'll switch it to rain mode mostly because I'm two up almost all the time and I need all the help I can get in bad weather.

Am at 8400mi now since early May, first “big” bike, only third year riding.

Appreciate the “Rider” mode, set to tc/road, throttle map/sport, abs/on. Should be called “custom,” not “rider”. Yes, 1st, 2nd, sorta 3rd gears feel a tad muted, less as ascend. By 4th, roars like the devil unfiltered. Anyway, greatly enjoy the bike, and these settings set some bumpers to keep me out of some trouble while I “mature”.
