Hello. Does anyone use this temperature dipstick below (from Newbonneville.com)??

Normally I change my oil at home and use my OEM dipstick to check oil levels.

I meant to scratch some marks on the temperature dipstick but never did - the marks on it
are not correct for an R3.

I changed my oil in Florida and need to know the distance from the bottom to where the min and max oil level marks should be.

Had anybody met the same gauge in Celcium?

Thanks. Just the low oil mark would suffice.
I put in 5 1/2 quarts the other day but stalled again idling a long time in traffic.

It may just be a coincidence but it ran fine after adding another 1/2 quart. That's the 3rd time - 2 before the oil was changed.

I don't see any indication of an oil leak.

The oil light didn't come on and there was oil 1 inch up the dipstick tube so perhaps the root cause is my kickstand sensor delete splice is failing
under high engine heat. Or maybe the oil pressure sensor is failing...

You should take care not to scratch any mark too deep into the material. The tube is not thick. You run the risk of liquid leaking out. Better use a heat-resistant paint to place the marks.
Regards, Georg

Wish I had talked to you before I used a cutoff wheel on my Dremel to cut a mark near the bottom of my temp dip stick like the OP pictured. Bottom quarter inch or so got cut right off. :banghead: Bought a new dip stick and left it alone. As long as I get some sign of oil at bottom of stick I am good. Temps are consistently in the high 180's on the gauge.
