Truly slid the car sideways into sleeping elk on the road! No damage, just confused humans. The elk didn't move... Just surprised that little or no signs indicating the critter danger.

Two lane road at night, oncoming car, on a hill and in a curve, tires screeching, horns blaring...trust me, the elk was not impressed

Not the least. But then, Elk are big enough to do real damage to a car. I didn't realize just how big Elk are.

Just checked the 10 day forecast and it says 50% chance of rain everyday of our event. Hoping this is just quick moving thunderstorms in the afternoon?
