Decided I'd try my hand at making a custom backrest thats taller for her since she is used to a goldwing back seat.

It's not the prettiest and I will eventually recover it with material that goes all the way down. I will probably replace the pad since I kinda messed it up but for just throwing stuff together it will do for now. Glad she just got a new helmet so I could use the bag on it for now.

Then there is the trusting level... be sure that it's supportive enough that if she lean on it at speed at the g's you can do in a rocket versus a Harley, it won't break in half... maybe to tall to be only secured at the bottom

It will never be as cozy as a Goldwing. That said you're free to try to make her happy, but you might consider getting a used Goldwing for two up duty. Just sayin.......

Yea i'm going to get one in a year or so for sure. Doing a big vacation to california this year so a lot of money is going towards that.

Seems a little tall?.....I like doing custom bikes projects. I usually try to make them reversible if I change my mind. So I don't see a problem with experimenting with ideas.
Yea it seems a bit tall to me also, she says its perfect of course lol. Eventually when it gets warmer out im going to make one shorter and see if she can live with it. I haven't changed anything as far as the original mounting goes so its easily able to go back to stock.
