Sometimes when I am going slow and change down from second to first and then clutch out I get what is like a backfire but it sounds like its coming from the throttle bodies - not definate that it is just sounds like it is - but leaning more towards the frnt of the bike than from the exhaust. It doesn't happen all the time and it keeps suprising me and I'm having trouble deliberately replicating it so I can pin down exactly where its coming from.
Anyone had anything similar - i got trip K&Ns and stock exhaust atm, and I'm still on run in got about 200ks on the clock and i would say its happened 3-4 times.
yep.. mine has done that from the beginning.. more of a "lupe" type sound, kinda like a big bubble coming to the surface ..out of the throttle bodies.. mine does it occationally when fired up from cold about 10 secs into the warm up and occationally when im sitting at a stop light blipping the throttle..
My R3R backfired through the air cleaner sometimes when you blip the throttle on the down change at the lights. At times stalling the engine Triumph Springwood said they all do that. With the standard air intake you can feel it through the seat. I fitted a PCV and got a custom tune on serco's dyno hasn't done it again.
