Which gear for 60mph?

Mitch, if the only 91 I could get was ethanol crap I'd probably opt for 95/98 as well. But I have full choice - can get 98, 94 and 91 with ethanol or 98, 95 and 91 without and it's mostly within 200metres of my home (All but the E98).

Couple of the posts above about being in the right gear when cornering highlight yet another reason why a GiPro is such a good investment.

Guys I am not trying to be smart but the last place I'm looking is my instruments when going into a corner let alone a gear indicator, What is under the seat of my pants tells me everything I need to know about when going into a corner just listen your bike it will tell you all you need to know:)

back in the 70's let laught at the first of the gear indicator which if memory serves me right appeared on Suzuki's we thought they were over kill then and I still think they are unneeded:rolleyes:

Well there's the cornering you're obviously talking about and there's riding in traffic especially in the wet and loosing track of which gear your in. The engine braking if you drop it back to too low a gear can lock the rear and it can be easy to give it too much coming out. That's all. I doubt anyone looks at the guages too much when they need to be concentrating on the road. But I have gone to drop down a gear (in traffic) and glanced at the GiPro and seen I was already in 2nd and I reckon it's prevented an awkward moment or two. It's a great gadget.

but if it is lugging in second then you should be in first and if it is not lugging why change,..... just askin:)

The problem is though most servos here have the 91 ethanol crap 95 or 98 so I would probably waste that money looking for that fuel I do believe u its just not convenient but I will give it a go when I get a chance

I havent noticed any ethanol problems with fuel bought in WA and I have bought fuel this year through out the great southern and northern goldfields,so either it wont hurt ,or Ive been lucky.
Im also lucky enough to live near an independent ,owner operated servo, who says he does not sell fuel with ethanol.

Im not refering to the gear indicator part though mate i just think it was money well spent for what it does for the bike.
The gear indicator was just a added bonus :)
