Where do you store things on the Rocket?

As I was sitting here catching up on things, the UPS man pulled up and delivered my new Gel rider seat. The first thing to do is remove the "air tunnel" device, beings I went to the "under tank" K&N. As I studied it, I thougth, "Hey, maybe some additional tools (smaller in size) could be wrapped in a shop towel & slipped into the cavity of the air tunnel at the air filter end & then a piece of foam cut to block it off & retain the tools." Now I know this is not the most practical use of space cause it's kinda small, but hey, I'm very frugal, even when it comes to saving space. Maybe a good spot to put the "on board" paperwork wrapped in a ziplock bag others have been discussing.

I ride in all weather so I keep it in my wallet. I sometimes even think ahead on a cross country trip and put my wallet into a sandwich bag in case my rain suit isn't up to snuff.

Same here. Wallet with ID, bike docs, credit cards and real money, always in the leather jacket l/h or inside pocket. I keep the r/h pocket for highway toll chores and charges. For the occasional x'tra stuff, as long as it's thin and light, e.g. road maps, ciggies and cell phone, I still rely on my old Harley belt-attached waterproof pouch. Can rummage through it without actually looking into it. The bulky stuff, if any needed, goes into either the Eastpak back sack or the the tank bag. Jamie

thausen,

I have my K&N triples on order so the K&N I had under the tank will be for sale if you are interested?

I keep my legal stuff in my brand new leatherlyke bags that lock up, along with some bungy cords, five pair of gloves, two complete rain suits, field rations, and lots of rain soaked maps of Iowa???:bch:
