That's the same as my last Harley, did just under 40k miles and never missed a beat apart from a loose coil connection on one occasion. Put high torque Andrews gear drive cams in and loved it.
Prior to the Rocket I've had three H-D's over 14 years and did about 60k between them. Not one breakdown, never leaked oil and never failed to start in all weathers. They weren't quick, didn't handle that well and the brakes were dire - but they got as much attention as the Rocket, almost, and got me there and back. Most importantly they got my Missus on the back of a bike to appreciate the pleasures of motorcycling, couldn't manage it before getting my first Harley.
I would go back to a Harley when I find the Rocket is too much to handle, something that age and/or health will force on me sometime in the future.
Do agree with Art reference some of the Harley rider attitude though, but it takes all kinds - I've met a few Triumph riders with the same.
Its not the make but the mentality of the rider that is the problem imo.
