what seat?

I have the Corbin Dual Tour seat on my Standard. It was firm at first but I got used to it. I bought it used through this site actually.

I had to use furniture felts on the rubber feet under the passenger section to get rid of the play. There was about half an inch of space at the back end and the seat rocked a little, so the felts fixed that. It is a nice seat, looks good, and it is actually pretty comfy on longer rides.

The back end is nice and wide for a passenger too.
 
I have a bud with a R3 that's a BIG boy. 6'6" and all of 295. His Russell is the bomb for him.

You be a big boy, neighbor! DO THE HAGONS! I did and after 12K miles, I certainly would do them again - EXCEPT - I would go a half or one inch taller than stock for extra clearance. Sometimes when hard in the twisties and on unexpected bumps in the $hitty roadways of America I can hear the tire scrape what sounds like the plastic inner rear fender. A little more rear wheel clearance would be nice and good for handling IMHO.

After over 6 weeks of near every day riding, I have absolutely NO issues with the stock Roadster seat and I be NO featherweight and I surely possess NO tack hammer to drive my junk.

I got the 20mm longer Hagon Nitros and love them, yes it does make it better in the twisty stuff

Depends on the options.

I've had a Corbin saddle - WOULD NEVER NEVER NEVER have another. Was not a perfect fit and the breaking in period is PAINFUL Once broken it it was fine, but it was a painful 5000miles.

Loads of the Iron-Butt guys (1000miles a day - day after day) use Russel seats - there's a reason. They're known by seat makers (with no axe to grind) as the Rolls-Royce of seats.
