We test rode a Rocket at an open house. My wife (always a passenger, never the operator) said, "This is going to be our next bike." A coule years later she saw one for sale by owner along the road on her way home from work. It has been our ride ever since.

Woopin almost everyone you decide too! Gotta have the right tool and rockets seldomly gets wooped when the rider has made a decision, even stock when you lay the wood to a rocket any bike is gonna have to throttle on it to get by and make hard decisions as Rockets as we all know got big egggggs. Get it handling right and it becomes hard to pass once out front. Ok EGO

I picked mine up without knowing anything about it . the night before going to check it out I found as much as I could about it . This is where I found out about R3Owners . Following morning drove 250 km . Check it out , negotiated the price , got it for peanuts , 4000km on the ticker . Went for my first ride and was hooked . 69000km later and I am still amazed with this beauty . Not ready to change it .

I vote looks.

I test drove the original 14 years ago and knew this is what I wanted. Been off bikes for 10 years only noticed the R3 late in 22. I purchased this motocycle blind, without test riding or even sitting on it, dealership delivered to my home which was the 1st time I actually seen one, let alone touch. This is going to be a classic and highly collectable bike 15 years from now, its gorgeous.

I looked at a BMW 1600, a Goldwing and they just had too much electronics and other fancy doo-dads on them. The HD was a non-starter, yes I am prejudiced that way. The R3 was just the ticket, a real motorcycle that still let you feel the road and didn't have all of those buttons to try and remember.
